About Dan Leveille
Dan Leveille (born August 5, 1988) is a web developer enrolled at the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He is majoring in New Media Interactive Development with minors in marketing and communication.
Dan is employed at the Education Technology Center at RIT as a web developer; the Marketing department at deviantART.com; and his own freelance web development, graphic design, identity design, and photography business.
Projects
In January of 2007, Dan created BookMaid, a used textbook exchange for Rochester Institute of Technology. It was originally named RITBook, but RIT threatened legal action upon Dan for the domain name, claiming it was trademark infringement. You can follow @bookmaid on Twitter.
Dan also created rit.edu/go/eat, an iPhone web application aggregating hours of facilities on campus.
Dan is currently working on a social entrepreneurship project called Equalitopia, a web application that will organize and analyze LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) data, news and laws around the world. You can follow @equalitopia on Twitter.
